Weighing In....
I am actaully visiting my sister in Colorado right now (I will blog more on this later) so I weighed a day early before we left. The results....138.7!!!!!!!!!!!!! two pounds exactly! I officially only have 8.7 pounds to go! I am a little nervous about being out of my normal routine and on a vacation, but I also want to enjoy my trip. It is cool to realize that enjoyment isn't all about food!! I am still waking up and working out every morning here, I am getting to try a different machine and I know for sure it is definitely working different muscles.

To Blog, or Not To Blog???
The question to blog or not to blog about my weight loss journey has been on my mind a lot lately. I was thinking yesterday that the one thing I would've done different (besides gaining weight) was I would have kept a better journal of my journey. I journal at least three to five times a week, and in those then I have randomly mentioned how I was doing but I wish I would have journaled all of it. I remember only being able to run five mintues straight and I felt like I would die, then last weekend I ran a 5k!! The question to blog or not is a tough one bc I feel like I would bore people with my story...but I'm going to do it. I started this journey with two other girls in my life and I am so thankful that they chose to walk it with me (total we have lost 60 pounds). It has been tough at times, but good. It has been sad at times, but exciting. So here I go...after I had Kimber I figured I would weigh in close to 150 pounds...not the case. So when I decided to get serious about all of this I stepped up on the scale and the number came back 162...so not good for my frame of 5'4"(dangerous for blood pressure/my bmi was in the danger zone). I was scared and thought how the heck am I going to be a good mom when I feel so blah all the time bc my weight was holding me back. The comment that actaully got me in the gym was a check out lady at the store asked when my baby was due??!!?? What?? I had already had Kimberlin and I thought I was looking good(compared to a huge belly with a baby inside) I still wasn't healthy. I have not gone to the gym less than three times a week since that comment, but I was greatful for it, bc it changed my life. Anyway fast forward to now and I am weighing in at 140.7, I have LOST 21.3 pounds...almost 15% of my body weight!!!! WOW (and a little gross)! My final goal is 130, so next week if I can lose just over 1/2 pound I will be into my single digits of my journey. I feel so much better now, even though I haven't arrived I feel great! Figuring out how to fit the gym in around nursing an infant and caring for a toddler, and how to measure every bite I take has been a challenge. As of right now it looks like waking up at 6 am (for anyone that knows me I'm not a morning person) I feed Kimber at that time, then I am back home and showered by eight to wake up my family! I have more energy then I have ever had before and I am grateful that I am getting healthy so that I can be the best role model for my girls. This morning when I got home Belle looked at me and said, "mom, did you go running so you can get faster and stronger?" then she said, "great job, mom!" I will post my next weigh in day! Until it becomes freedom...

My First 5K!!!!!!!!!
Saturday, October 3, 2009, was my first 5K!!! I have been running for about 12 weeks and about 6 weeks ago I decided that I was going to run a 5K! So yesterday after hours of sweat and lots of miles I finally ran it and most imprtantly FINISHED it!!!! I was super stoked. Jon ran in highschool so he is way faster than I will ever be, but for my first race we ran it together! (he even stepped back and let me finish first:-) My time was a 30:14 which I was hoping for under a 30 minute time, but oh well next time for sure!! I am learning a lot about running and I am really developing a love and passion for it. I probably wont run anymore races until the spring mainly bc I HATE the cold. I am going to train and work hard who knows maybe someday I'll even complete a 10K! Also as the girls get older it will be easier to race...I'm pretty sure I was the only nursing mom there! Thanks to everyone who answered my running questions, watched my kids so I could run and came to support me!! I couldn't have done it without you guys!

Story Time!

Story time started a long time ago and now it has even grown since we added Kimber in, who is now able to sit and look at the pages!! This is Jon's routine with the girls before bed, and I have been informed several times that it must take place in the "red chair." Isabelle loves this time with Jon and I know Kimberlin will learn to love it too! Jon, you are the best dad.
Cleaning Closets=Fashion Show

This last week I was cleaning out the girls closets and switching out all their summer clothes for me "cold weather friendly" clothes, anyway everytime I do this Belle always picks about seven different outfits to wear during the day...she switches and then switches again. I thought about it a little to late bc this was like her third outfit, yes she is wearing two swimsuits and boots...lol. The outfit before this was a red long sleeve dress with a bright pink and green belt and sandals. So lets just say she most likely wont be a fashion guru, but she definietly takes after her Aunt Summer (or aunt Mer.)

Stuffed Bell Peppers!

I have never made Stuffed Bell Peppers and every month I try at least three new recipes, this one made the cut this week! I am not a huge bell pepper fan myself, but I guess with age they are growing on me. Anyway they turned out pretty good the stuffing part was really delicous and Jon liked them so that was nice to have another meal to make. If you want to try them let me know and I'll email you the recipe.
